How to study without distractions?

Some tips to help you study without distractions:

  1. Find a quiet place: Look for a place where you can study without any distractions. This could be a quiet room at home or a library.

  2. Turn off your phone: Your phone can be a major source of distractions. Turn it off or put it on silent mode and keep it away from you while you study. You can use apps like Forest, offtime, stay focused, etc.

  3. Use a timer: Set a timer for a specific amount of time, such as 30 minutes, and focus only on studying during that time. Take a break when the timer goes off and then start again. For example, I use an extension called 'Focus To-Do: Pomodoro Timer & To-Do List' which uses the Pomodoro method.

  4. Use headphones: If you are studying in a noisy environment, use noise-canceling headphones or listen to instrumental music to block out distractions. I listen to the white noise of waves and winds while studying.

  5. Use a planner: Plan your study schedule and stick to it. This will help you stay on track and avoid distractions. Always keep a timetable.

  6. Stay organized: Keep your study materials organized so that you can find what you need quickly and easily. This will help you avoid wasting time and getting distracted. Keep all your books in your study space before studying.

  7. Take breaks: Taking regular breaks can help you stay focused and avoid burnout. Use your breaks to stretch, go for a walk, or do something that relaxes you. For example, I play bullet chess games during such breaks.

By following these tips, you can create an environment that is conducive to studying and avoid distractions.
